Employee Relations ManagerJob SummaryThe Employee Relations Manager is responsible for developing and leading the organization's employee relations strategy to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. The role partners with business leaders and HR teams to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant people practices while promoting employee engagement, organizational culture, and operational excellence.The Employee Relations Manager oversees the resolution of complex employee relations matters, manages policy implementation, ensures compliance with employment legislation and company policies, and provides expert guidance on disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, performance management, and workplace conflict. The role also drives initiatives that enhance employee experience, retention, and organizational effectiveness while supporting digital HR transformation and continuous process improvement.Job Responsibilities Lead the Employee Relations function by developing and implementing people practices that promote fairness, consistency, transparency, and employee engagement.Provide strategic advice and coaching to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, performance improvement, and conflict resolution.Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, company policies, and internal governance standards.Review, develop, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.Manage complex employee cases while ensuring timely, objective, and legally compliant resolutions.Lead workplace investigations and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.Partner with HR and business leaders to resolve organizational and workforce challenges.Promote a customer-centric HR service culture by ensuring high-quality support across all employee interactions.Drive employee engagement initiatives that improve employee experience, satisfaction, and retention.Analyze employee relations trends and provide recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement.Oversee HR operational transactions including onboarding, offboarding, leave management, employee documentation, ticketing, reimbursements, medical insurance administration, personal information updates, and employment letters.Ensure employee records and confidential documentation are accurately maintained throughout the employee lifecycle.Utilize HR systems (preferably SAP SuccessFactors/SAP HCM) to manage employee data and reporting.Prepare employee relations reports, dashboards, and analytics for management decision-making.Identify risks and recommend proactive interventions to improve workplace culture and employee well-being.Support organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and change management initiatives from an employee relations perspective.Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Payroll, HSE, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless HR service delivery.Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions where applicable.Support business continuity and organizational resilience initiatives.Job Knowledge & SkillsExtensive knowledge of employment legislation, labor laws, employee relations practices, and HR governance.Strong expertise in grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.Advanced communication, negotiation, and influencing capabilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and workforce data.High level of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and confidentiality.Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.Knowledge of organizational development, change management, and employee engagement strategies.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, preferably SAP HCM or SAP SuccessFactors.Education Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.Professional HR certification (CIPD, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent) is preferred.Minimum 6–10 years of total HR experience.Minimum 5 years of progressive Employee Relations experience.Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
