QA Functional Engineer

### About the role

As part of the reinforcement of its IT Quality Management function, Ooredoo is looking for **Functional QA Engineers** to contribute to functional testing, defect management, and quality assurance activities across enterprise IT systems and applications.

This role is suitable for QA profiles who are detail-oriented, structured, and motivated to work in a demanding IT environment with strong interaction between technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders.

### Main responsibilities

Reporting to the Quality Management team, you will be responsible for:

* Analysing business requirements and functional specifications in order to prepare test cases.
* Executing functional, regression, smoke, and sanity test cases according to the defined test plan.
* Recording test execution results accurately with supporting evidence.
* Documenting defects in Jira or an equivalent defect tracking tool.
* Writing clear defect reports including reproduction steps, severity, priority, screenshots/logs, and expected vs actual results.
* Tracking defect resolution progress and validating fixes before closure.
* Supporting SIT execution and assisting business users during UAT phases.
* Maintaining complete testing documentation, including execution logs, defect evidence, and test completion records.
* Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to testing process improvements.

### Required profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in software QA, software testing, or functional validation.
* Good understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile/Scrum environments.
* Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar.
* Ability to execute test scenarios, identify deviations, and document defects clearly.
* Basic knowledge of SQL.
* Basic knowledge of API testing is appreciated.
* Basic knowledge of Git and CI/CD concepts is appreciated.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
